Designed to depict the athleticism and grace of women and warriors, this gorgeous wall hanging combines intricate design and bold colors for an amazing statement piece. Handmade and hand painted on a vivid red background, this wall hanging is an eye-catching addition to any space.
Using the trademark crackle effect that is Tribal Textiles' signature (from the starch resist technique), this wall hanging is hand drawn and hand painted on durable cotton. This unique piece is hemmed all around with a full-width pocket along its top edge for a hanging pole, and it can also be used as a tablecloth or a throw.
While the design and technique are the same, each artisan has his own way of starching and balancing colors, making each piece unique in its own special way.

Absolutely fabulous. The souvenir of a once in a lifetime trip we should have bought when we visited years ago.

Since I came home (NYC!), I can’t say anything to truly describe much I appreciate and admire Tribal Textiles products, and the company itself. These mats are so simple and yet so beautiful, and go perfectly with the napkins I purchased separately. Every time I use them I am reminded of my trip to Zambia (my birthplace), and my guests always admire them and love the story behind them. For me, they represent my past, present and future selves. What more can I say? The set table looks so lovely, and peaceful, and hopeful.

This is a show piece that stops people in their tracks. It is hanging in a prominent place (wall) and when people see it they want to know where it is from, who made it and how they can get this sort of art. It truly is a stunning show of the craftswomanship from Mali.
