Tribal Textiles works to create sustainable impact in South Luangwa, Zambia through creativity and craftsmanship by going beyond fair wages, reinvesting in community strengthening initiatives, and supporting local wildlife conservation.

Take a look at our 2023 catalogue, with new additions - Kuosi, Mwana and Matika mustard.

At Tribal Textiles, we believe in empowering our local community and we strive for transparency and sustainability. We want to do our part to help the conservation of our beautiful habitat.

Recycling in this remote part of Zambia is a big challenge. There is a huge amount of aluminium, plastic and glass waste which is difficult to recycle. In 2018, we decided to combine our love for art, our knowledge of craft and our will to contribute to the recycling process in the Valley. The Glass recycling project was born!

The artisans from Luangwa Artisan Collective are independent artisans that work out from Tribal Textiles. We train those local artists in product development and business skills such as merchandising, accounting and pricing. We work with them to create beautiful products and give them access to local and international wholesale markets.
