Crafted by the artisans from the Luangwa Artisan Collective, this one-of-a-kind square woven placemat is made from natural grass that surrounds our local community here in Zambia. Handwoven and modern, these placemats effortlessly complement any table setting.

The artisans from Luangwa Artisan Collective are independent artisans that work out from Tribal Textiles, and all sale proceeds go directly to them and their families.

The Luangwa Artisan Collective

GRASS ROOTS DEVELOPMENT

As of 2024 we have a total of 30 Luangwa Artisan Collective members.

From weavers and wood carvers to artists and metal-smiths, the Luangwa Artisan Collective is made up of independent and talented master artisans.

Based in South Luangwa, where jobs are scarce, they are dedicated to improving their skills to make a living from their art and passion.
